Rabbi Cohen-Scali, one of the founding members of the Long Island Sephardic Center, was appointed chief Rabbi of Peru in July 2016. With this newly announced appointment came the need quickly identify new Torah scholars to continue infuse joyful and insightful Torah teaching in our center for Great Neck modern orthodox families.

Rabbi Zevy GeisinskyRabbi Zevy Geisinsky was born and raised in Great Neck, NY. He received rabbinical ordination Semicha from Rabbi Yeruslavsky, Chief Chabad Rabbi of Israel, and his BTL university degree in 2013. He is in the process of earning his Master’s degree. He is married with two children. Rabbi Geisinsky returned to Great Neck to give back to “hometown” Jewish community. He is active in Jewish education, communal events, youth & adult programs, Shiurim & Chavrutas, outreach and inreach. He is dedicated to the needs of all segments of the Jewish community, inclusive and welcoming with warmth and wisdom.
He has experience as a Student Rabbi and later as Associate Rabbi in various diversified communities including Yerushalayim Israel, Bangkok Thailand, Copenhagen Denmark, Paris France, Toronto Canada , San Jose Costa Rica and Folsom California. |
Rabbi Yonathan HakimianRabbi Yonathan Hakimian is Assistant Principal at Crown Heights Yeshivah and is a Former Rebbe at Ezra Academy ( Forest Hills, NY) and Yeshiva Shalom Rav.

Rabbi Uriel AvigesBesides being Rav & Dayan, Rabbi Uriel Aviges has written and published several books and articles, most notably Nahala Bli Metsarim (comments on the Haggada and halahot of Pessah) as well as Imrei Ech.
He studied Gateshead in England, in Slabodka in Israel, as well as Lakewood, NJ in the US. He currently studies at Mesivta Tiferes Yerushalayim (MTJ) in Manhattan (Yeshiva lead by Rabbi David Feinstein). He was rabbi of Venice, Italy during the 90's.
